Our work

Interior painting in period rooms

Walls, ceilings, cornices and woodwork painted in older homes: a living room with bay window and a period room with restored ceiling details.

Fresh paintwork brings a renovated room to life. In older homes it also means working carefully around cornices, panelled doors, window frames and fireplaces.

Living room with bay window

In this living room the walls and ceiling were painted in calm, warm tones, and the woodwork of the bay window, doors and skirting boards in white. Together with the new herringbone floor and the white fireplace, the room feels light and spacious.

Period room

High ceilings with a cornice, a black fireplace and a door painted in a bold yellow: in this room the paintwork highlights the original details. The cornice was restored first and then painted, so the details are sharp again.

Preparation

Good paintwork starts with preparation: filling, sanding, degreasing and priming. On new plaster we use the right primer so the paint adheres well.
