Brick extensions with matching details

Brick extensions built to match the original house: matching brickwork, stone sills, steel-look frames and handmade timber details in 1930s style.

The best extensions look as if they have always been part of the house. That means paying attention to details: the colour and bond of the brickwork, the sills, the frames and the roof edge.

Side extension

This side extension uses brickwork that matches the existing house, white frames with stone sills and a neat roof finish. From the street it reads as one building.

Extension with corner windows

Corner windows let in light from two sides and give a view of the garden. Here the dark frames and the detailed sill of stone and orange tiles echo the style of the original house.

Handmade timber details

Many homes from the 1920s and 1930s have decorative eaves and brackets. For an extension to a house from that period, our carpenters made new eaves with carved brackets in the workshop, matching the original design. The roof framing photo shows how the brackets are fixed under the new roof edge.
